Independent engineering guide
Read the architecture—not just the label.
This guide separates nameplate language from the operating evidence a Philippine buyer needs. It is educational decision support: the exact design, availability, certification and authority route must be confirmed for the selected model and site.

What the technology actually is
Zero-export control measures power at the agreed boundary and continuously changes inverter or BESS output to avoid prohibited reverse flow. The meter, CT direction, communications, controller timing and fail state are part of one control loop.
Specify meters, CT orientation, response, fail-state, inverter interfaces, communication loss behavior, logging and commissioning tests for own-use solar.

Where it can create value
It is relevant where a business wants on-site generation while constraining export. The controller must be tuned to real load ramps, multiple inverters, generator states and the authority’s interpretation of the connection route.
- A controller label does not prove zero-export performance during fast load change, meter error or communication failure.
- The decision crosses operating, electrical, commercial or regulatory boundaries.
- Management needs a defensible next step before committing capital.

What commonly breaks the business case
A steady demonstration can pass while fast load rejection, reversed CTs, stale data, controller reboot or lost communications creates an export pulse. “Zero” must therefore be defined with measurement resolution, response and permitted tolerance.
- For Zero-export control, we test the site data, interfaces, operating limits, commercial assumptions and evidence needed for acceptance.
- Available bills, interval data, drawings, settings, contracts and operating records.
- Assumptions, contradictions, missing evidence and the party responsible for each dependency.

Evidence to request before a binding offer
Require a signed measurement boundary, meter and CT schedule, control-response requirement, inverter interface list, redundant or fail-safe state, event logging, staged load-rejection test and written confirmation of the applicable Philippine project route.
- A project-specific zero-export control scope with priorities, owners, open dependencies and measurable acceptance criteria.
- A decision memo that separates verified facts from assumptions.
- Prioritized actions, owners and acceptance evidence for the next stage.

Four questions that keep procurement measurable
- 01INPUT
What measured site data defines the duty?
- 02INTERFACE
What voltage, protection, control and data boundaries must match?
- 03GUARANTEE
Which usable result is contractually promised at end of life?
- 04TEST
How will the operating result and failure recovery be witnessed?
