What the technology actually is
Quattro combines inverter/charger operation with two AC input paths; a GX device provides communications and supervisory coordination. The arrangement can simplify grid–generator transfer, but transfer authority, neutral behavior and protected-load boundaries remain project engineering decisions.
Qualify dual-AC-source behavior, generator logic, GX metering, alarms, remote access, firmware ownership, local fallback and acceptance tests for a commercial backup system.

Where it can create value
It can fit facilities needing generator coordination, modular backup and visible local controls. Design value comes from a tested sequence across normal grid, generator start, islanding, recharge and return—not merely from having two input terminals.

What commonly breaks the business case
Automatic transfer can fail operationally when generator warm-up, minimum loading, input qualification, low-SOC reserve, phase imbalance or communication loss is not represented. Remote configuration without controlled ownership adds a cyber-physical failure path.
