May cyber-physical dependencies ang connected BESS. Sinusuportahan ng DOE cyber framework at NPC lifecycle guidance ang identity, remote privilege, logging, updates, data flows, local fallback at recovery bilang design requirements.

- Gumawa ng duty table na may event, kW, usable AC kWh, response, duration, repetition, reserve, interruption, recovery at failure consequence. Huwag pagsamahin ang incompatible benefits sa isang savings number.
- I-model ang no-project, efficiency/control-only, generator improvement, BESS at hybrid alternatives sa parehong interval/tariff basis kasama auxiliaries, degradation, replacement, service, downtime at risk.
- I-define sa spec ang complete boundary: batteries, BMS, PCS, EMS, transformer, switchgear, metering, HVAC, fire/emergency, network, cloud, generator controls, SCADA, operator interface at tools.
- I-tie ang payment/acceptance sa witnessed FAT, SAT at state tests na may raw data. I-test ang normal, low SOC, comms/sensor failure, utility loss, generator transition, manual fallback, shutdown at restoration kung applicable.
